It is easy to add or remove yourself from the PANGOLIN  email list server.  Several different services are available, including the Pacific Seafarer's Net Rollcall list servings.  When you join to receive the Pacific Seafarer's Net Rollcall list servings, "PACSEANET" is the posting you want.  The others can be gotten daily using the same procedure as for "PACSEANET".  So, in the body of your email to yotreps@pangolin.co.nz, you type JOIN PACSEANET, but don't put anything on the subject line of the email. That's all there is to it. To remove yourself from the list, type LEAVE PACSEANET in the body, again with nothing in the subject line of the email.

Net controllers interested in sailing vessel movements throughout the world may want to get the "Summaries" posting once every day.  I find it quite interesting as it includes all email YOTREPS self-reporters ham and non hams, and also includes the Pacific Seafarer's Net Rollcall boats as we report them. I've seen as many as 65 boats on this YOTREPS posting, and plugging it into the free REPORTER program and viewing their locations on the chart feature is quite nice.  I like having a passive awareness of the non ham movements because it helps when someone comes up missing out there or in emergencies.

To obtain regular copies of these postings as they are issued, you can 
join the list. To do this send a, subjectless e-mail to 

yotreps@pangolin.co.nz 

with the word "JOIN" in the message body followed by one 
or more of the following words to indicate the type of messages you would 
like to receive: 

"SUMMARY", "WEATHERGRAM", "FIJI FLEET", "PF BULLETIN" or "PACSEANET"

Include no other text in your message. If at some stage you wish to change 
your list of choices, the procedure is to first LEAVE the list (see below) 
and then submit a fresh JOIN request. 

LEAVING THE LIST 
Send a plain text subjectless e-mail to yotreps@pangolin.co.nz with just the 
word "LEAVE" in the message body.
